With the collaboration of TÜRSAK Foundation and Beyoğlu Municipality, The 4th Annual Yeşilçam Award winners was announced at Lutfi Kirdar Convention and Exhibition Centre, 28 March 2011 on Monday night. Before the ceremony, Yekta Kopan and Burcu Esmersoy interviewed with some of the participants on the red carpet. Obviously this year, Yeşilçam tried hardly to look like the Oscars and we watched an amateur version of it, live broadcast at NTV.

At the beginning of the ceremony, you can see Ece Sükan talking to Serenay Sarıkaya without regard to the cameras. And the cameras were following them stubbornly.

This year, the presenters of Yeşilçam Awards were Halit Ergenç and Cansu Dere. They both looked elegant but they read everthing from the cards.

Türker İnanoğlu (75), when accepting his award, said : "I attended Yeşilçam by accident in 1957. Now the year is 1911 and I'm still here. It's a pleasure to be here, choosing this job. Thank you all." He accidentally said 1911 instead of 2011 and it caused laughter in the hall.

Ozan Doğulu and his orchestra performed 2 songs and Özcan Deniz sang a song named "Hayat Arkadaşım" which was in his very first movie, "Ya Sonra".

In the social networking sites, there were dozen of adverse comments about Ahu Türkpençe's outfit. She was in a zig-zag patterned, hand-knitted dress.

Here are some comments from Twitter :

"Ahu Turkpence or should I say Heidi?" by @ezrr11, "Standart Ahu, what's with your outfit!" by @esinovet, "I definetely wouldn't wear Ahu Turkpence's dress as a pijama." by @gazozluleblebi.

Özge Özpirinççi and Engin Altan Düzyatan couple were looking magnificent in their outfits, designed by Hakan Akkaya. Özge Özpirinççi, nominee for the Best Actress in a Supporting Role, wore a long red dress with a low-cut back.

Selim Demirdelen and Reha Erdem were dressed sloppy even though they won an award.

Çoğunluk's director and scriptwriter Seren Yüce was absent but Sevilay Demirci took his awards. She gave a speech including political issues. "We are experiencing difficult days which are un-published books are banning. We would like to commemorate the names of our friends Ahmet Şık and Nedim Şener and also we would like to say that we are supporting them."

Meltem Cumbul and Engin Günaydın came to represent the Best Screenplay Award and also Meltem Cumbul mentioned a social issue just like Sevilay Demirci. Her words was: "The Mayor of Beyoğlu is here already, let me tell that Emek Theatre is closed for 3 years. I wish next year it will open." When the winner announced, Çoğunluk's star Bartu Küçükçağlayan appeared to take the award behalf of Seren Yüce. He aggreed with Meltem Cumbul and added : "Kılıçoğlu Theather is also closed in Eskişehir."

Cem Yılmaz, awarded as the Best Actor in a Leading Role, joined the night through a VTR. As usual, all of the hall laughed to his jokes. He was absent because of his show, which the tickets sold-out for months ago.

In the end of the ceremony, Çoğunluk, won the Best Movie award and got 250.000 TL prize. Again, with his first movie named Çoğunluk, Seren Yüce won 50.000 TL.

Tuncel Kurtiz represented the Best Director. When Reha Erdem came to the stage, Tuncel Kurtiz said "I wish he works with me someday." and give a signal of a new film.
